The map footprint is similar to my first attempted trip in June. This time, however, I will be traveling primarily one way from west to east. The plan is to take the Amtrak from Kirkwood, MO to Lee’s Summit, MO. I will then ride east, mostly on the Rock Island State Park trail, until I reach the KATY trail at Windsor, MO. My route will then take me west until the Western Terminus of the KATY trail is reached at Clinton, MO. The rest of the trip will be riding east on the KATY trail, until reaching the Eastern Terminus at Machens, MO.
